Reverend Kate Hogue

Rev. Kate Hogue joined the CCU staff in 2023 after serving congregations in Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. Raised and ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA), she also has experience with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), both serving a congregation and attending a DOC seminary.  

Pastor Kate found a real kinship with the CCU family who seek God both in nature and in questions, welcome and celebrate LGBTQ+ folx, young children, and retirees alike, value quality music and vespers, partner with community organizations to care for neighbors, and advocate for God’s justice in the world.   

She received a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Missouri State University and then a Master of Divinity with a certificate in Biblical Studies from Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a recipient of the Barrett T. Moore Preaching Award and considers herself a lifelong learner.  

Pastor Kate and her family love to travel, hike and camp, eat delicious food, play boardgames, and spend time on the ocean.
